Happiness

I have decided that every Sunday, I will update this blog on what is going on in Portland.  Today is Monday, so already I stink at updating.  I haven’t taken pictures yet because I have been too busy skipping around and breathing in the fresh air.  I tried my hardest to not like Portland.  I wanted to hate it so badly.  I think I drank a few Haterades the first day I arrived, but then the next day I put my Haterade down.  I embraced the city and glory that is Portland.  I haven’t met anyone that has a chip on their shoulder.  Everyone is super friendly and kind.  They even let me join a club here called Safeway.  Here I thought it was some exclusive grocery store club, but nope.  I don’t even really need my winter coat here.  Isn’t that wild? I have been biking around everyday!

There is a donut shop here called VOODOO donuts (I don’t even like donuts btw!) which are just mouthwatering delicious.  This is how good they are, imagine that you are driving home and about to get of the car, but then someone mentions the word donuts.  There is no way in hell that you are going to get out of the car now.  You stay put, swerving and weaving to the donut shop.  Yummy to the extreme!!!

The Whole Foods here is beautiful.  Powells books is unlike anything I have ever seen before.  It just seems like everything is better and healthier for you here.  You’ll feel like a kid again, riding around town with friends and laughing till your sides hurt.  A place where it seems like not even the rain can get you down.  This place is Neverland.

so in this blog thingy you say you don’t even need your winter coat. so as your monetary supervisor I’m saying no coat. although, you are only on this adventure once so maybe it could be an exception (and let’s be honest I have no will power with anthropologie)……. 😀
